Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM). Diphtheria is a bacterial disease caused by Corynebacterium diphtheriae, an aerobic, gram-positive, pleomorphic bacillus. Diphtheria is a contagious infection that mainly affects the nose and throat. Less commonly, it can also affect the skin. The bacteria spread when an infected person coughs or sneezes, and droplets of their saliva enter another person's mouth or nose. Before vaccination programmes were introduced, diphtheria was a very common condition and one of the leading causes of death in children.
