Description
Archelon prehistoric turtle. Artwork of a pair of Archelon (Archelon ischyros) hunting jellyfish. This extinct sea turtle lived 75-65 million years ago and is closely related to modern day Leatherback turtles. It measured four metres in length making it the largest turtle that ever lived. It had a large curved beak which was probably used to break open mollusc shells.
