Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Water net algae. Light micrograph of a colony of water net algae, Hydrodictyon reticulatum. These are freshwater green algae. Each individual cylindrical cell typically connects with 6 neighbours (5-8 are also known) to form a three- dimensional network. Hydrodictyon is a coenobium or determinate colony, which means that the total number of divisions & thus the number of cells making up the colony is fixed at the time of the origin of the colony & cannot be extended. Unlike indeterminate colonies, it is not simply an aggregate of cells with unlimited potential for cell division. Magnification: x60 at 6x7cm size. x90 at 4x5ins
