Displayed is a vintage patent illustration for a cup design, marked with the number 27,978 and attributed to G. E. Haviland, with a patent date of July 20, 1897. The blueprint features a detailed cross-section of an ornate cup (Fig. 1) and a simpler outline view from above (Fig. 2), exhibiting the intricacy of the design.
