Description
For thousands of years all life lived in balance.
Mighty trees rich in wisdom, lived in every forest, nurtured for centuries by the Great Mother.
And the hunter-gatherer people of the first nations understood their small part in the great Circle of Life, and lived with reverence for Great Mother, the giver of all life.
Often while gathering berries or nuts, or collecting discarded limbs for implements and fires, they would stop to pay homage to the mighty tree.
Speaking only in whispers, the tree would impart ancient truths and wisdom, and the people would, to the great delight of the tree, tell tales from the lands beyond the trees' own horizons. The mighty trees remembered these people and their wonderful tales incorporating them into the very fiber of their own existence.
--------
A once mighty tree, now horizontal, is slowly returning itself to the Mother which gave it life and nurtured it from seedling through scores of decades of might and rich abundance.
And with this return, it's memories of the ancient peoples too shall be passed on, tree to soil and rock.
This series is a tribute to those memories and the reverent balance that existed before the arrival of the vast egotistical swarm from beyond the horizon that gives birth to each new day. The swarm, armed with hypnotic lies and the illusion of permanence, would shift the balance and change the face of the great Mother.
In chapters yet unwritten, a new balance will be established, for Mother Nature will always find a way to remind the people of just how small they really are.
