Artist's Description
War Bonnets were headdresses once worn by American Plains Indians for battle, but over time, came to be worn only for ceremonial purposes. They are worn by highly honored men and chiefs. The finest such war bonnets are made from Eagle feathers, the eagle bearing significant spiritual significance to the tribes of plains of the western United States.
This Native American themed art features one such warbonnet seen from an angle.
About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
