Gephetto was our big red Tabby cat who loved to play with baby rattle snakes around our property in northern California. We lived on Rattle Snake Hill, a place with many open grassy meadows a large rock formations where the snakes lived. Gephetto was bitten once but miraculously recovered. He hung his head in a stream and drank water all day which saved him. Even after that experience he continued to play with the snakes. Their slithering was just too tempting.

I hold a BFA from CSUN, and after earning my art degree didn't paint for 25 years. Art education killed my creativity and I lost interest in visual art.
