Robert has been an artist since elementary school. He was awarded the Bank of America award in art as a graduating high school senior. His first job after high school was as the courtroom artist for the local paper, the Arcata Union.
Robert's great grandfather on his mother's side was the known American Western Artist, Irving R Bacon, and many of the techniques and brush strokes in Robert's work shows that relationship.
After spending a few decades as a graphic artist for the gaming industry, Robert decided to retire to the midwest and go back to making real art instead of pretty webs to trap the public for the casinos. After being given a very good camera as a present by his wife and son, once he figures out how to shoot, print and edit a photo so it passes the muster of the site's rigorous standards, the paintings will be posted. This is going to take a while.
Robert Beers joined Fine Art America on November 3rd, 2019.
