I'm a retired special education teacher currently living in Southwest Michigan, although the majority of my life was spent in the Chicagoland area. Now I spend about half the year (during the Winters, especially) in Southwest Florida. I have enjoyed photography since I was a teenager, and got my first SLR camera at age 20. I spend most of my time taking photos of plants, animal life, and landscapes (especially sunsets) that surround me. Taking trips always offer new and additional opportunities, and these vacations are always a way of increasing my photographic experiences. While I love my photography excursions 'in the field,' I admit that working on those photos on my computer is enjoyable, as well.
I've recently found a new technique, introduced to me when COVID first hit, called texture blend photography. It really allows my creative juices to flow.
