Nancy Bruce is a native of Richmond, VA., where she studied art at Virginia Commonwealth University. Nancy has lived in the Tidewater area of Virginia for the past thirty years and presently works from her studio in Yorktown, VA.
Although Nancy has had formal art training, in many ways her work is more like that of a self taught artist. She is a mixed media artist, working primarily with recycled materials. She is very concerned with the environment and this concern has inspired her to use these recycled materials in her art. Her environmental concerns also inspired the group of paintings called URBAN LANDSCAPES, the environmental economy of city living.
Nancy has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows throughout the Mid Atlantic area.
