About Sue Birkenshaw
My mom, Susan Jean Birkenshaw, was born on October 15th, 1963 and passed away peacefully on September 29th, 2018. I am continuing her legacy through her art on this page. I hope you enjoy the art she made as much as she enjoyed creating it. Here is what she said before she passed away: "At a young age I was always drawing and have worked with various media. In later years I fell in love with oils as their richness enabled me to better capture the depth and light of my subjects. I am drawn to the deep colors, sharp contrasts and vivid detail that I perceive around me which often comes through in my paintings. Buildings and architecture fascinate me so you'll find a lot of them in my work, but most of all it's about the next...
