About Jim Young
Photography is a retirement hobby that has turned into a business. I began a number of years ago displaying photos at a local art show, and to my surprise, people bought them. I expanded into other arts & craft shows, farmers markets, and a few galleries, and now I'm trying my hand at online sales. My art is eclectic, ranging from wildlife and scenic to artful compositions. Before retirement, I spent 35 years as a research scientist / technical specialist working for government laboratories, mostly as a marine biologist and as an electron microscopist.
